Overview of Local Scales

Generally, HE institutions use the same national salary scales and pension schemes and these are maintained and kept up-to-date by the SiriusWeb Team in Leeds. Occasionally however, institutions use a salary scale or pension that is not widely used in other HE institutions.

So, what do you do if the SiriusWeb calculator does not display the salary scale or pension that you need to use?

If the calculation is a "one-off" and not part of a scale used locally at your institutions you may choose to use the User Defined salary option. If the calculation does form part of a salary scale that you need to use, then you should get in touch with your SiriusWeb Institutional Contact and ask them to add in the local scale via the UserAdmin Area.
