1) What is a convenient way to quickly access SiriusWeb?

   Type the SiriusWeb url into the address bar of the browser.
   Have SiriusWeb as your home page.
   Set SiriusWeb as a favorite.

2) What happens if you complete a calculation and then save SiriusWeb as a favorite?

   The calculation parmeters are retained in the favorite.
   The SiriusWeb default parameters are retained in the favorite.
   It is not possible to make a favourite of SiriusWeb.



3) What must you be aware of if you save calculation parameters as favorites?

One answer only.
   The favorite will hold the parameters as a snapshot of the data, thus the calculation will not automatically be updated.
   Subsequent Pay awards will automatically be included.
   Subsequent pension and inflation changes will be picked up automatically.
   The favorite will retain the parameters and these will be automatically up-dated each time they are used.



4) How can you make minor changes to a calculation without having to put all the parameters in every time?

One answer only.
   You can't, you lose the parameters when you use your browser back button.
   Save the calculation as a favorite.
   Use the orange back and forward buttons and back to last page links.
   Export the result to Excel then manually calculate the required change.



5) How can you restore the SiriusWeb defaults?

One answer only.
   Manually set them.
   Click the Reset form to defaults link.
   Register as a new user.
   Use a different pc.



6) Which of the following would mean that you would have to re-register as a SiriusWeb user?

Choose 3 of the following options.
   You have a new pc.
   You are using SiriusWeb from a non-users pc.
   You have recently deleted all the cookies from your pc.
   The salary scales have recently been updated.



7) How can you do a one-off calculation that uses a salary scale that doesn't appear in the list?

One answer only.
   Set up a new scale using the UserAdmin area.
   Choose a salary as near as possible to the one you want and then adjust.
   Manually type the salary in by using the User Defined option.



8) What is the UserAdmin area?

One answer only.
   The staff cost calculator area.
   An area where institutions can set up local pay scales and pensions.
   The registration section.
   The help and FAQ pages.



9) Who can use the UserAdmin area?

One answer only.
   Everyone who is a registered user.
   The two named institutional contacts.

10) How can you do further analysis of several calculations?

   Open lots of browsers and do a different calculation in each.
   Export the calculations to Excel and continue using Excel.
