Check and Change the Security Level of
Cookies on your pc
To check your pc's tolerance of cookies.
- In Internet Explorer click the Tools menu and choose
the Internet Options command.
- Click the Privacy tab on the dialog box to view the slider.
- By dragging the slider higher up the scale you can increase
the security level, making it harder for cookies to be set on
your pc. The text in the centre of the dialog box informs you
of the level of security at each point.
- You can still opt for a high level of cookie security and not
have to log into SiriusWeb all the time by overriding the cookie
handling for specific named sites (eg SiriusWeb).
- Select a high level of security using the slider (but
not the very highest as this cannot be overridden).
- Click the Edit button
- Enter the SiriusWeb address and click the Allow
button.
- Click OK and then click Apply.
