Registration > Guide

There are two types of Registration:

  • Institutional Subscription (done once per HEI)
  • User Registration (all users do individually)

Please see below for the Registration procedure.

Registration Procedure

  1. All Institutions qualify for a free one-month trial of SiriusWeb, during which time all staff at the institution can use SiriusWeb.
  2. If an Institution wishes to continue using SiriusWeb after the free trial period then an Institutional Subscription Form must be completed and emailed to the Siriusweb Team at SiriusWeb@adm.leeds.ac.uk. (If your Institution has already registered to use SiriusWeb you will be automatically redirected to the smaller User Registration Form see point 10 below).
  3. On receipt of the Institutional Subscription Form the Institution will be added to a list of registered institutions. The institution will then be notified by email that they have been added to the list of subscribed institutions and informed of the annual subscription due. The subscription will be between £209-617 (excluding VAT) depending on the size of the HEI the exact amount will be notified.
  4. Once an institution has been informed of the subscription due, a cheque, made payable to Leeds University, should be sent to Academic Planning and Performance Office, 11/81 E C Stoner Building, Leeds University, Leeds, LS2 9JT.
  5. If no Institutional Subscription Form is received after an Institution's trial period has elapsed, the SiriusWeb Team will contact the Institution's Contact Person to ask if they want to subscribe.
  6. In order to progress the subscription procedure, institutions may fax a signed copy of the Subscriber Form to the SiriusWeb Team on 0113 343 4020 with the cheque to follow by post. This will ensure that institutions are not "cut-off" from using SiriusWeb at the end of their free trial period due to administrative delays in processing cheques.
  7. Institutions will be notified that they have been accepted and payment received. It should be noted that the subscription covers a fixed period of one year (from 1 August - 31 July) and allows any number of staff at the subscribed institution to use SiriusWeb.
  8. If you don't wish to upgrade to subscriber simply reply to the Subscriber Form email to that effect and your free trial period will be terminated.
  9. If any of the registration details change please let the SiriusWeb Team know.
  10. If your Institution has already taken out an annual subscription to SiriusWeb then you need only complete a shorter User Registration Form. If this is the case, you will automatically be redirected to this form when you go to the SiriusWeb Site. You will need to complete and submit the User Registration Form so that you can be added to the list of registered users within the Institution. Users will only have access to SiriusWeb for the remainder of the Institution's trial period. If you are a user of SiriusWeb but not the Contact Person it may be worth contacting your Institution's Contact Person to ascertain how long the trial period has left to run and to let them know if you have found SiriusWeb useful. You can see the details of who your Institution's contact person is on the Contact page.
  11. In July each year the SiriusWeb Contact Person will be sent a reminder asking if they want to renew their annual subscription.
  12. If you have any queries on registration please see the Contacts page.
